David Juelfs MA, MDiv, SEP

For over 25 years, I have walked alongside people through relationship struggles, trauma, grief, and seasons of profound personal growth. My work began in spiritual care, pastoral counseling, and hospice, where I supported individuals and families through suffering, loss, and transition. Today, I bring that depth of presence together with advanced training in psychodynamic and somatic psychotherapy.

I hold graduate degrees in Clinical Psychology and Divinity, and I am a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP), with extensive training in body-based trauma healing. My work is also informed by training in AEDP, DBT, Gottman Method Couples Therapy, and Psychedelic Somatic Interactional Psychotherapy (PSIP).

I work most often with couples longing for a deeper and more resilient connection, and with adults recovering from trauma, especially sexual trauma, early attachment trauma, religious trauma, complicated grief, and the enduring effects of childhood abuse. My approach is relational, depth-oriented, and attentive to the wisdom of the body. I help clients understand the patterns that shape their emotional lives and relationships while building greater capacity for safety, regulation, connection, and meaningful change.

I believe healing happens through the co-creation of a safe, authentic, and trustworthy therapeutic relationship. You do not have to do this alone. Together, we can move toward healing, greater freedom, and a deeper sense of wholeness.

I would love to talk with you.

I am here to listen.

I am here to help.
